You are about to use the most powerful feature of the Ambassador web site – the prayer request. We’ve tried to anticipate some of the questions you might have about this unique feature before you consider filling out a prayer request. The request form is just below the following Q&A’s:
Q: Why would we have such a unique, if not controversial, feature on a business site?
A: Members of the Ambassador Prayer Team fervently believe in the power of prayer and count it a privilege to pray for others who might be in need of God’s power in their lives. Ambassador is a unique company that strives to give every teammate the opportunity to know God’s best for their lives –personally and professionally. Our Prayer Team concept is one way we attempt to bring this about.
Q: How confidential are the prayer requests?
A: Prayer requests are automatically routed via email to each member of the Prayer Team. Often times members will pray immediately upon receiving the email and then save the request as a reminder to pray in the future. It is helpful to have a name to go with the request. First names only are fine, whatever you’re comfortable with. We don’t ask for contact information (email, phone), but if you would like someone to follow-up with you, then by all means include this information in your request. You will not be added to any lists or be contacted by us unless you specifically request it.
Q: Would you be willing to pray for me even if I come from a different religious background?
A: We sure would. Prayer is simply talking to God. We would be delighted to talk to God on your behalf, no matter what your religious background might be. In fact, there’s no need to share your religious background with us unless you would like to.
Q: I don’t have a prayer request, but I am interested in either doing business with or going to work for your firm. Frankly, I’m not real comfortable with this prayer stuff in a business setting. Given this, how comfortable would I be working with or for Ambassador?
A: You are not alone in your discomfort. In fact, you probably have lots of company. Prayer has been a part of our corporate culture since 1989, but on a strictly voluntary basis. There is absolutely no pressure whatsoever to participate in prayer on any other form of religious activities at Ambassador Solutions. We have teammates, vendors and clients of all races, nationalities and religions and we thank God for each and every one. We wouldn’t want it any other way.
Q: Will God listen to my prayer even though I’m very angry with Him right now?
A: Great question! Anger causes many people to pray the least when they need it the most. If you’re in that situation right now, then why not start by telling God why you’re so angry with Him? He already knows, but it might really help you to articulate it to Him. Then, tell Him all the reasons why you don’t think He’d answer your prayers anyway. Now that you and God are on speaking terms again, why not let our Prayer Team join you? He’s listening and so are we.
