With the economic and business realities of today come unprecedented challenges. As employees or leaders in an organization, we're needed to maintain productivity and morale in the midst of uncertainty. Whatever your focus is in today's reality, one thing is absolute - a motivated, inspired group of people working together as a team to achieve goals is a must!
In any role in an organization, communication remains key to success. The behavior and communication style of leaders and teammates in our current economic climate is critical. A University of Michigan study recently found that people working together end up sharing moods - within two hours of being in each other's company. The research also found that bad moods spread faster than good ones. Positive attitudes will build employee confidence - and negativity can create destructive anxiety.
Are you the positive influence? Whether you are a leader or teammate, you must rise above any negative influences and be the communicator, the motivator, and spread the can-do attitude that will boost business. Here are a few things we can all keep in mind as we work toward common goals.
