For Immediate Release
Indianapolis, IN: The beginning of the Ambassador Solutions mission statement promises “to make a positive difference in every live we touch”. Aligned with this statement, three Ambassador employees made the 2+ commitment to become mentors for Starfish Initiative.
Starfish Initiative is dedicated to making a difference in the lives of at-risk and economically disadvantaged high school students. The organization assists students of exceptional promise to overcome the barriers of poverty and develop cultural capacity and leadership skills that prepare them to graduate from high school and college. This is done through one-on-one mentoring and coaching, leadership training, and motivating students and their parents to understand that college is an option.
Volunteer mentors can make a significant impact. The scholars in the Starfish program will likely refer to them throughout their lifetime as the people who stood beside them – the people who believed in them – the people who helped them achieve their vision of success – the people who helped change their lives forever.
