Attendees of The Age of Life Sciences Informatics conference held on September 21, 2007 received a thorough view on how informatics technology has contributed to the success of AIT Labs, one of the top ten life sciences companies in central Indiana.
AIT Labs president Michael Evans, Ph.D. and vice president Ron Thieme, Ph. D. kicked off the conference with a keynote address which outlined the company's operating model and how it has thrusted laboratory sales in recent years.
They spoke about their focus on client needs, improving execution through quality management, and the desire to create the best product in the world. In the past 3 years, the company's total income has increased by 106 percent, and net income has grown 508 percent.
Thieme advises companies to not be afraid to try new things. You may fail, but learn from that failure and adjust your approach. Don't pay too much attention to what others are saying. Define your own game. Most importantly, always remember that the best and highest use of technology is to support relationships between groups of people. Whether those people are employees, partners, or clients, effective relationships are the key.
