Giving Back: In Business For Life
Ambassador Solutions is committed to donating a significant percentage of our profits to worthy causes around the world. We like to think of it as being “In Business For Life”. Currently, our charitable activities are funded through a special Ambassador Missions account. The purpose of Ambassador Missions is:
To give of our time, talents, and treasures so that people around the world may know and experience God’s best for their lives
As we seek opportunities to fulfill this mission, the following principles guide us:
• Getting involved is just as important as giving money
• Most of our resources should be directed towards organizations that are not widely supported by the general public
• We are partial to organizations that Ambassador teammates and constituents passionately support, provided doing so is in harmony with our giving principles
• In hopes of encouraging a charitable lifestyle, we particularly want to support the children of our teammates and constituents whenever they are passionately involved in charitable activities
• We want to set a good example of corporate stewardship and individual involvement in charitable activities, while encouraging others to do the same
• We will strongly support pro-life organizations and withhold support from any organization that does not respect the sanctity of all human life
• We will give cheerfully with grateful hearts because “God loves a cheerful giver” (2 Corinthians 9:7)
Here are some of the organizations and causes that Ambassador Missions has supported in recent years:
Campus Crusade for Christ International
Campus Crusade for Christ International is a worldwide, interdenominational Christian ministry committed to showing people how they can know and experience God's love and plan for their lives.
Compassion International exists as a Christian child advocacy ministry that releases children from spiritual, physical, economic and social poverty and enables them to become responsible, fulfilled Christian adults.
Founded by Rev. Everett Swanson in 1952, Compassion began providing Korean War orphans with food, shelter, education and health care, as well as Christian training. Today, Compassion helps more than 800,000 children in 24 countries.
Habitat for Humanity
Habitat for Humanity International is a nonprofit, ecumenical Christian housing ministry. HFHI seeks to eliminate poverty housing and homelessness from the world, and to make decent shelter a matter of conscience and action. Habitat invites people of all backgrounds, races and religions to build houses together in partnership with families in need.
The mission of Life Centers is to affirm the value of life by providing a network of care to those experiencing pregnancy-related crisis and by compassionately presenting Biblical truth resulting in changed lives to the glory of God.
The story of the Good Samaritan (Luke 10:30-37) gives a clear picture of God's desire for everyone to help those in desperate need wherever we find them. After describing how the Samaritan rescued a hurting man whom others had passed by, Jesus told His hearers, "Go and do likewise." For over 35 years, Samaritan's Purse has done its utmost to follow Christ's command by going to the aid of the world's poor, sick, and suffering.
Samaritan's Purse reaches hurting people in countries around the world with food, medicine, and other assistance in the Name of Jesus Christ. This, in turn, earns us a hearing for the Gospel, the Good News of eternal life through Jesus Christ. Samaritan’s Purse is well known for their “Operation Christmas Child” ministry, which sends shoeboxes full of toys and other necessities to children around the world. Ambassador Solutions was able to donate 36 boxes to the organization in 2006.
UHC Children’s Foundation
The UnitedHealthcare Children's Foundation embraces and supports the concept of facilitating access to health-related services that have the potential to significantly enhance either the clinical condition or the quality of life of the child and that are not fully covered by the available commercial health insurance. The Foundation provides financial assistance toward the family's share of the cost of medical services.
Young Life seeks to carry the message of Jesus Christ into that tumultuous tide and points teenagers toward life as they were created to live it. Since 1941, the dynamic that has characterized Young Life is its commitment to relationships — Young Life leaders meeting kids on their turf in the interest of friendship. As leaders get to know teenagers, they are able to share the love of Jesus Christ through platforms like Young Life club, Campaigners and trips to camp. Whether kids are seeking answers or just acceptance, Young Life is there for them, armed with a desire for fun and the ultimate message of hope.
Youth with a Mission
Youth With A Mission is an international movement of Christians from many denominations dedicated to serving Jesus throughout the world. Also known as YWAM (pronounced "WYE-wam"), their calling is to know God and to make Him known. Back when they began in 1960, their main focus was to get youth into short-term mission work and to give them opportunities to reach out in Jesus' name. Today, they still focus on youth, and also involve people of almost every age (even many people who choose to spend their "retirement" in active service). Their many ministries fit into three main categories: evangelism, training and mercy ministry. They are currently operating in more than 1000 locations in over 149 countries, with a staff of nearly 16,000.
Grace Community Church
Grace Community Church is located in Noblesville, Indiana, and is a member of the Evangelical Free Church of America and the Willow Creek Association.
Horizon International exists to create a world of hope for AIDS orphans. Their objective is to raise up, out of the tragedy of the HIV/AIDS pandemic, a new generation of leaders who follow Jesus Christ "one child at a time."
Indiana Cancer Research Foundation
Indiana Cancer Centers (CICC) is a community-based, private practice, providing cancer care services to Central Indiana. The physicians and staff at CICC consistently deliver maximum patient care through state-of-the-art cancer treatment, as well as, provide family caregiver convenience. CICC provides an extensive range of treatment options for cancer patients. With four treatment centers throughout Indianapolis and Hancock County, patients gain access to the latest research, choice of treatments and counseling, while minimizing disruptions that affect the quality of everyday life.
